A Year in the Life of An AMORE Journey

In March 2011,  AMORE was born.  Although I didn't know it at the time, it seems fitting that this catchy acronym got its start during Women's History Month, a time to honor our sisters and what they have done for other women.     

 My website and blog celebrate ordinary women who are extraordinary in many ways. My hope was -- and still is --- to tell others how these fabulous women are stepping out of their comfort zones to reinvent themselves in both small and big ways.

There were stories about a first time mom, a neighbor who jumped out of an airplane when she turned 50, another who became a life coach after working on Wall Street and a whole lot more.  There are stories about our friends, neighbors, sisters, moms, and coworkers. 

In talking to hundreds of women about my AMORE movement,  I learned that most of us are united in our desire to reinvent ourselves in some way. We share this common goal, while maintaining our nurturing, humorous and fun loving side.      

My blog writings hope to provide a glimpse of a year in the life of my own AMORE journey. I attempt to offer a "slice of life" peek of what my world has been like since I left my career after 32 years at Verizon.     

For those who read my blogs, I thank you for that as I am finding great joy in writing.  I hope you keep reading and perhaps see yourself in many of my writings.  I hope you saw humor, and yes, even sadness, in some of my posts, and perhaps it made you think about your own life.
